Irish HomeCare is launching a new initiative today – The Rapid Response Team within County Louth. This will allow the company to provide care to the elderly and most vulnerable in the Louth community with short notice. It will also create new employment in the local communities of Louth for qualified Health Care Assistants and the recruitment for these positions will start immediately.
The Rapid Response Team will serve the Louth Community and will focus on urban as well as the rural areas. It is an opportunity to ensure care is provided for those in need of it when they most need it. The initiative will bring 10 new positions for Health Care Assistants to the region with a view to expanding the services within the community and to other areas and counties in time.
‘We are very excited about this opportunity’ commented Anthony McCool Director of Care and Services for Irish HomeCare. ‘It allows us to provide quality care to frail and vulnerable adults at short notice. We are launching in Louth as we have an aging population with approximately 650,000 people that are 65 and over. As people are living longer, we at Irish HomeCare are dedicated to allowing the elderly to stay and home and be independent for as long as possible.’ The Rapid Response Teams main tasks are to assist the elderly within their own home environment and be the first responders when the delivery of care is needed. The service is in reaction to issues like bed blocking, aging alone and allowing the elderly to live their remaining days in the comfort of their own home with dignity.
The company will be recruiting for 10 fully qualified health care assistants that have a passion for caring and can provide an essential and critical service in their own local area as soon as the need arises. It means having the availability to take on a call at short notice and being committed to delivering quality care.
